Maintaining traceability from material receipt to packaging
Heat, lot and inspection references must remain connected throughout each manufacturing stage.
Traceability begins when raw material is received and verified. Identification controls should continue through cutting, forming, machining, heat treatment, inspection and final marking.
The agreed documentation package should link finished quantities and package identification to the relevant heat or lot records. Define any special marking restrictions before production.
