Inconel 625 or 718: start with the service requirement

Inconel 625 is frequently considered where broad corrosion resistance and fabrication behavior are important. Inconel 718 is commonly evaluated where high mechanical strength and controlled precipitation hardening are central to the application.

Neither grade should be selected from a single headline property. Review product form, section size, temperature, media, governing standard and required material condition before confirming the specification.
