Match round-bar condition to the machining route

Round bar requirements should reflect the finished component and machining allowance. Define diameter tolerance, length, straightness, surface condition and any ultrasonic or surface examination.

The required heat-treatment condition must also be compatible with machining and final properties. Confirm whether testing applies to the supplied bar or to a later processed condition.
